The Mackay Whitsunday Natural Resource Management group
raises the profile of issues surrounding the natural environment of
the region, which have an impact on the health of this regions
natural assets. We build strategic partnerships
through collaborative projects which manage these issues
within the framework of a regional plan.
We encourage and support the delivery of solutions to sustain
profitability in Agriculture by supporting land managers efforts in
undertaking actions of environmental best practice across the
region.
Our projects protect and conserve the biodiversity and
coastal environments of this beautiful part of Australia. Project
partners who share these goals include community, government,
industry, Traditional Owner and environment groups.
We operate across a landscape with 250km of beautiful coastline
in Tropical Central Queensland, where 3 catchments and 74
offshore Great Barrier Reef islands host a richness of
biodiversity in aquatic, marine and land environments.
